Not too many miles from where I live is The Peachoid, which I am sure brings smiles to every person traveling on Interstate 85 through Gaffney, South Carolina. I pass it once or twice a month on my way to Atlanta, Georgia. Both states proclaim their love and loyalty to peaches.
Thankfully, my home is close to both peach states so I will be able to enjoy my favorite fruit this year in spite of the shortage due to weird weather. If you live in a place where peaches could not be shipped this year, this wonderfully easy dessert is also delicious with strawberries. Enjoy!
Tell Me: What are some of your favorite Southern desserts?
Mama used this recipe with any kind of berries and peaches. We especially liked cherries. BTW, you are going to need to multiply the ingredients by many times to fill that 98 x 13 inch baking dish!! Just kidding. We all make typos. XOXOX
LOL!! Oh my! THANK YOU,my forever friend!! I NEED you as my editor! 98 inch pans are hard to find.
Blackberries are also a good fruit for this!! Thanks Barbara…I am enjoying your posts…my granddaughters are vegans…they were thrilled with the Happycow app..
Thank you so much for spending time with me, Sherri! I admire your granddaughters’ dedication to being vegan. I’m going to check out the Happycow app
