hot chocolate

This season is all about delicious flavors and seasonal treats that we seldom enjoy, but look forward to each year.

One of my favorite beverages to drink at this time of year is hot chocolate. Sure, you can enjoy it with marshmallows or caramel syrup, you can even top it with whipped cream – and those are just for the novice hot chocolate lover! Read on to discover a few of my favorite ways to jazz up hot chocolate during the cold-weather months.

Add Coconut

Whether you’re tossing in coconut flakes, coconut milk, or some extract, you can’t go wrong with this tropical fruit.

Make It Taste like Reese’s

Peanut butter and chocolate in liquid form is always great! To make this delicious, Reese’s-inspired drink, stir in a teaspoon (or more) of your favorite creamy peanut butter until it’s fully dissolved.

Make It Taste Like Cookies & Cream

To make this flavor, simply crush up some Oreos and add heavy whipping cream to your mix. Then, of course, top with some more whipped cream and crumbled Oreo cookies!

Make a Grown-Up Version

Red Wine Hot Chocolate? Don’t knock it until you try it! This variety is as simple as adding a shot or two worth of red wine to your favorite hot chocolate.
