I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream – particularly now, because July is also National Ice Cream Month.

Maple Bacon

Parlor: The Original Chinatown Ice Cream Factory

Location: New York City

You can’t really go wrong at The Chinatown Ice Cram Factory. This famous parlor offers an amazing array of uniquely delicious handmade flavors like pineapple, black sesame, red bean, and lychee, as well as fun combinations like green tea Oreo, jelly doughnut and my favorite – maple bacon!

Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black Pepper

Parlor: Salt & Straw

Location: Portland, Oregon

Cousins and co-owners of Salt & Straw, Tyler and Kim Malek, offer ice cream flavors inspired by the season. Their Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black Pepper is by far the most popular due to it’s unique combination of homemade flavor and amazingly creamy texture.

Salted Butter Caramel

Parlor: The Parlour

Location: Durham, North Carolina

This popular parlor began as a food truck, and blossomed into a booming brick and mortar business in downtown Durham’s burgeoning foodie scene. They offer handmade flavors such as Vietnamese Coffee, Rosemary Olive Oil and their most popular, Salted Butter Caramel. Its made with butter, cream and lots of coarse sea salt!
