Sweet Cream Summer Corn
This easy recipe is my favorite to bring out the flavor of sweet white summer corn.
- 6 to 7 ears Sweet white corn shucked and silks removed
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Place the cut corn into a large pot. Barely cover with water.
- Add the butter, slat, pepper and sugar. Bring to a boil then lower heat to simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in cream. Simmer for 10 more minutes. Season to taste with more salt and pepper, if needed.
