Did you know its National Library Week? It’s the perfect time to cuddle up with a good book.
I’m a fan of reading, but always find books most captivating when they cater to a subject that I have a passion for – like fashion! Fortunately, from biographies to novels to coffee table books, there are so many great books for fashion lovers.
Check out a few of my favorites below!
Style A to Zoe: The Art of Fashion, Beauty, & Everything Glamour by Rachel Zoe
Who doesn’t want red carpet style? In this insider guide, one of my favorite Hollywood stylists, Rachel Zoe, shares her expert tips on everything from statement accessories to wardrobe staples to décor to traveling in style.
I’ll Drink to That: A Life in Style, with a Twist by Betty Halbreich and Rebecca Paley
At 86-years-old, Bergdorf Goodman personal shopper Betty Halbreich has seen it all. This book gives readers a glimpse into her career as a top stylist, working with Hollywood’s elite and socialites, alike.
The Sartorialist: Closer, Limited Edition: by Scott Schuman
If you’re familiar with the success of the street style blog, The Sartorialist, then you’ll know this book is a must-have item! Explore life through curator Scott Schuman’s lense in New York, London, Milan, Japan and beyond.
The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger
Though most are familiar with the 2006 movie adaption starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep, this classic novel is where it all began. Get a humorous look into working in the fashion industry, and empathize with Andrea Sachs as she navigates her way through the world of fashion with a “devilish” boss.
Explore the life of iconic fashion designer, Coco Chanel and discover how she rose from poverty to build an international fashion empire.
Tell Me: What are some of your favorite books?
Barbara, check out Casual Living Magazine which is published in Greensboro. Just thought you would be interested in the furniture that is advertised in that magazine . Check out the editor which is Waynette (Gladden) Goodson who is the daughter of Gay Helms Melton and Tommy Gladden who attended school with us. She does some interesting interviews.
You are so very helpful on this journey with me!! Thank you!!
